The gathering will close intentionally, allowing time to settle before departure.

Maximum six participants.

We are not here to prove, disprove, analyze, or persuade.

Sherri Phibbs

Sherri is the founder of The Gentle Wild and has facilitated reflective, nature-based group experiences for nearly two decades. Her background includes five years in the funeral service industry, along with formal study in eco-psychology, expressive arts, animal-assisted work, and equine-assisted learning.

Rooted in her Métis heritage and lifelong connection to nature, she is drawn to lived experiences that arise at the threshold between explanation and mystery. With a long-standing interest in perception and a highly attuned awareness of group dynamics, she approaches such stories with curiosity, clarity, and discernment.

For this Listening Circle, she holds a clear and grounded space for shared stories — not as therapy, debate, or instruction, but as thoughtful witnessing.

Scott Tizzard

Following a 30-year career in commercial and corporate banking and 10 years of service with the Canadian Armed Forces, Scott retired in 2025. Originally from Newfoundland, a place steeped in Celtic lore and strong storytelling tradition, he grew up in a culture where stories carried memory, identity, and belonging across generations.

With an honours sociology degree to go with his MBA, Scott has long been fascinated by the ways human beings shape meaning through narrative. He sees culture as story unfolding, from ancient pictographs to modern myth, and believes our shared tales reveal who we think we are.

He is particularly drawn to accounts of the anomalous, the mystical, and the unexplained, not for theatre, but for the way such stories stretch imagination and remind us that mystery is a universal human companion.

In a time that can feel increasingly fractured, Scott believes gathering to share stories is a quiet act of reconnection. For this Listening Circle, he joins in helping create a clear and grounded space where dialogue can restore common ground and shared humanity.
